FLAG Charleston is a front line appreciation group dedicated to supporting local restaurants in Charleston, SC, while fueling our workers that are out on the front line everyday at our local hospitals, express care centers and mobile testing locations.
Our group was inspired by the original FLAG group founded by NJ moms, Liz Bernich and Gina McGuire.
As the COVID-19 crisis grew, there became an urgent need for a presence in Charleston.
On April 4, 2020 FLAG Charleston was formed as a grassroots effort.
Our mission has been simple. Raise funds through donations, typically $10-$20. The funds are used to purchase meals through our local restaurant partners which are distributed to the front line workers.
Not only have we been able to fuel those brave workers that walk out their front door everyday, but we have been able to put over $24,000.00 back into the pockets of our local restaurants that have been impacted by and are suffering due to this world crisis.
It is a win-win-win for the community, restaurants and our healthcare workers!
We are currently not accepting cash donations at this time, but will be happy to coordinate a meal delivery or tokens of appreciation on your behalf.
We have a team of dedicated volunteers who have combined efforts to make sure that we can support as many local restaurants and fuel as many front line heroes as possible.
